2-Day Summer Intensive School

The Encounter School of Ministry Summer Intensive provides a survey of the content offered in the first four quarters of their Certificate of Ministry Program over a fast two-day period. It's perfect for anyone desiring to attend the Encounter School during the year but unable to do so due to distance or schedule. It is also ideal for those discerning their enrollment in the school but needing further discernment.
Designed and established from the heart of Encounter Ministries, this school draws from the richness of our Catholic heritage as we seek to teach, equip, and activate disciples to demonstrate the love of God through the power of the Holy Spirit in their spheres of influence. In conformity with the teachings and traditions of the Catholic Church, we offer students a dynamic 2-year training program designed to take you to the next level in your ministry.

Alex Zukoski
Alex is an actor and a caretaker doing his best to develop an intimate relationship with the Lord. He is passionate about ministry and influencing people with the truth. His profound personal conversion has led him to reach people for Jesus in the most unlikely situations. Fun fact: He enjoys fermenting things.
Chris Pampo
Chris is a homesteader, a scientist, and a mom of three who has a passion for helping others experience the love of God. She is excited about taking back territory for the Kingdom and claiming Gainesville for Christ by teaching, equipping, and activating others in the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Fun Fact: Chris raises sheep, so the Good Shepherd parables especially resonate with her.
Gwen Evans
Gwen is the Director of the Gainesville Campus of Encounter School of Ministry. A homeschooling mom turned empty nester, she began asking God to bring Encounter to Gainesville back in 2017. In 2021 He answered her prayer by introducing her to the Mercedarian Sisters who were praying about launching a school! God did the rest. “I am more than ever convinced that our inheritance in Christ is much greater than what we typically experience. God has raised up Encounter School of Ministry to bring His people alive in Him so that they can give convincing evidence that Jesus is Lord because they walk like He walked.” Fun fact: She has been known to some as The Energizer Bunny.
Jennifer Hackett
Jennifer is a former youth director who, since experiencing miraculous physical and inner healing, has a passion for bringing the love of Christ and His healing touch others. Her dream for ESM Gainesville is to be an instrument for the Body of Christ to come together as one, share God’s love, and do ALL that HE tells us to do! Fun fact: In some places, she is know as "Jennifer, the Prayer Lady."
Najwa Liscombe
Najwa is recently retired from the University of Florida / Shands after a satisfying career in the medical field. With Encounter School of Ministry in Gainesville, she is hoping to grow in her own discipleship while helping lead others to experience the love God has for them, not only in her parish, but throughout Gainesville, Florida and all over the US. A fun fact about Najwa is that, as a child, she locked herself in an airplane bathroom and could not get out.
Fr. David Ruchinski
Fr. David is the chaplain for ESM Campus in Gainesville. Fr. David entered the major seminary of the North American College in Rome and was awarded his Licentiate in Sacred Theology from the Gregorian University. He was ordained a priest for the Diocese of St. Augustine on June 23, 2007. Since 2011 he has served as Pastor and Director of St. Augustine’s Parish and Catholic Student Center in Gainesville Florida. His guidance and support have been essential to the establishing of ESM Gainesville Campus. “I’m excited to see the evangelizing power that God wants to release on the campus of the University of Florida and from there to the whole state.” Fun fact: When Fr. David is not nurturing souls, you can probably find him in his garden.

Our foundation is knowing the royal identity we receive as sons and daughters of God who have received an inheritance to do the works of Jesus and even greater works. (Jn 14:12)
Session 2: Hearing God and Prophetic Gifts
Saturday June 3 9am - 12pm
Jesus taught us that He is a good shepherd and we are his sheep, and that we hear his voice (Jn 10:4).
Session 3: Power and Healing
Saturday June 3 1pm - 4pm
Jesus called his disciples to preach the Gospel and expected them to heal the sick. (Mt 10:7-8; Luke 10:9).
Session 4: Inner Healing and Freedom
Saturday June 3 6:30pm - 9:30pm
God has revealed himself as the Lord who "heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" (Ps. 147:3).
